Chin filler – balancing the profile
The chin plays a larger role in facial balance than most people think. A small or recessed chin can make the profile feel out of proportion and blur the transition towards the neck. Chin filler builds projection so that the line from lip to chin straightens, the proportion between chin and nose improves, and the whole profile reads as more harmonious – without surgery and without downtime.
We are equally honest about the limit: if the chin is severely recessed, or the profile is caused by a bite problem, filler will not give the change you are hoping for. In those cases surgery (genioplasty) with a plastic surgeon, or an assessment by a dentist, is the more sensible advice – and we will say so at the consultation instead of promising too much. Jawline filler and jawline contouring
A defined jawline is one of the clearest markers of a structured face – and one of our most requested areas, among both women and men. Jawline filler creates definition and sharpness in the transition between face and neck, supports the lower face and counteracts the sagging along the jaw sometimes called jowls.
The goals differ. For women, jawline contouring usually aims for a soft but distinct line that balances the proportions; for men, a broader, more marked jawline. Often 2–4 ml is needed for a clear overall effect, while a smaller amount is enough for lighter definition. For the best result we often shape jawline, jaw and chin together as one lower-face treatment.
Chin dimple – filler or Botox?
A chin dimple can mean two different things. A congenital cleft – a distinct groove or dimple in the middle of the chin – can be softened with a small amount of filler if you wish, though many choose to keep it as a feature of character. If the chin instead turns bumpy and dimpled when you tense it, like orange peel, the muscle is the cause – and then a small dose of Botox, not filler, is the right tool. The two are often combined: Botox relaxes the muscle while filler builds shape.
Before and after: what to expect
- Straight after: increased projection and a sharper contour are already visible, though mild swelling is common.
- Days 1–3: swelling and occasionally a small bruise settle.
- After one to two weeks: the final, defined result emerges and is assessed at your follow-up.

Nasolabial folds
Deepening nasolabial folds – the lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth – are often treated in the same session as the lower face. Interestingly, the cause frequently sits higher up: volume loss in the cheeks lets the skin fall forward into the fold. That is why we assess the face as a whole before filling the line itself. Marionette lines – the lines running downwards from the corners of the mouth – respond well to a combination of support in the jawline and a small, precise amount of filler in the fold itself.
